Our Story

Born and raised in East Tennessee, John's passion for woodworking began and bloomed through treehouses, barns, and home renovations. At 18 years old, John sought out adventure and enlisted in the Navy. While stationed in Norfolk, John continued his passion - transforming his barracks room into a makeshift shop, creating wooden gifts for his fellow servicemen, friends, and family. Inspired by the support of his peers, he took a leap of faith and left the military to pursue his passion.

Moving into a modest one-car garage, John's dream began to take shape as he started to handcraft furniture with a creative flare. He made connections outside of the military scene, expanding his clientele across the Hampton Roads area. Despite the obstacles that all new businesses face, John's dream continued to flourish - and has since expanded from that one-car garage to a 7,000 square foot woodshop, employing a full team of talented craftsmen.
